Getting Started
If you or a loved one is in need of radiation therapy for treatment of cancer or other disease, then you've come to the right place—Radiation Oncology at the Sibley Cancer Center. Once you and your physician have agreed to move forward, the next steps in identifying the best treatment plan involve spending time with members of the radiation oncology team at Sibley. We want to get to know you and your family, as well as to understand your medical situation.

About the Center
The Sibley Cancer Center is dedicated to comprehensive and coordinated care with state-of-the-art technology and recognized medical experts on staff. The center meets patient needs, from surgery to radiation oncology to psychosocial support. It offers patients and their families a calm and private setting and the high level of patient care that is Sibley's hallmark.
It’s A Healing Place. Our concern for patients is reflected throughout the light-filled 14,000-square foot Cancer Center serving Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia.. It is quiet, peaceful and private. It is designed so patients can move around the center easily—in privacy and comfort. The Cancer Center includes physicians' offices, examination rooms, conference rooms, a private, patient-friendly waiting room and a restful open-air garden. Parking is conveniently located just in front.
The Radiation Oncology Department at The Sibley Cancer Center is an innovative program with nationally recognized experts in the field. In addition to being recognized experts, they are known for taking as much time as necessary to help patients and their families understand their options and feel comfortable with their choices.

Getting To Sibley
Sibley Memorial Hospital is located in Northwest Washington, D.C. on Loughboro Road between MacArthur Boulevard and Dalecarla Parkway. See the map below and click for directions showing the hospital's location. It is convenient to all in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia.

How To Get To Your Appointment Once You Are At Sibley. Radiation Oncology is part of the Sibley Cancer Center. To reach the Cancer Center, enter Hayes Hall - adjacent to the parking lot - and follow the signs to the Sibley Cancer Center.
Parking For your initial consultation with the physician you will park in the Visitors Parking Lot. To reach the Cancer Center, enter through Hayes Hall and follow the signs to the Center. There is a nominal parking fee. If radiation therapy is recommended after meeting with the physician and you are ready to begin, you will be issued a parking card which will give you access to free parking in a dedicated area adjacent to the front door of the Center.
Using Public Transportation to Get to Sibley, Sibley Hospital is served by the D6 and M4 Metrobus routes. The D6 route connects with Metrorail at Stadium Armory, Union Station, Metro Center, Farragut Square and Dupont Circle in downtown Washington. The M4 connects with the Tenleytown Metro. Sibley is also served by the Number 23 Ride-On Bus which connects at the Friendship Heights Metro.
